Terms of service

The short version
- You book a clean. We confirm a cleaner. They show up. You pay.
- We authorize your card at booking; we capture once the visit is complete.
- Cancellations >24h ahead are free. Within 24h: 25% fee. Within 4h or no-show: 100%.
- If something goes wrong, you have 24 hours to flag it for re-clean or refund.
- Cleaners are independent contractors, vetted + insured by us.
1. Bookings
When you submit a booking request, you authorize Clean Kasa to place a hold on your payment method for the quoted amount. The hold is released within 24 hours if we cannot confirm a cleaner; otherwise it converts to a charge once the visit is complete.
2. Cancellations + rescheduling
More than 24 hours before the visit: free, no fee, hold released. 4-24 hours before: 25% cancellation fee. Less than 4 hours, or cleaner arrives and customer is not present: 100% of the booking is charged.
Rescheduling more than 24 hours ahead is free. Within 24 hours, we treat it as a cancel + rebook.
3. Quality guarantee
If the work doesn't meet our standard, flag it within 24 hours via the app. We'll either send the same cleaner back to fix the specific issues at no charge, or issue a partial/full refund — your call.
4. Cleaners
Cleaners are independent contractors who set their own schedule. Clean Kasa is not their employer. We background-check every cleaner before they accept their first booking and carry $1M of general liability insurance covering work performed through our platform.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your card number; only Stripe's tokenized reference. You can request a receipt for any visit by replying to the confirmation email.
6. SMS messages
Clean Kasa may send service-related SMS messages for cleaning requests, booking coordination, cleaner matching, reminders, verification, and customer support. Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. 7. Disputes
Text Clean Kasa at (415) 779-7513 first. We respond within one business day and resolve most disputes in 48 hours. If we can't agree, the matter is governed by California law and resolved in San Francisco County.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; if we do, we'll post the new version here at least 14 days before it takes effect.
